I have a v6 2.6e Coupe. Sometimes the mainheadlights wont come on (although the sidelights always do) When this happens the indicators dont work. If I swith her off and start her again all is fine.

I have the same problem with the electric sunroof/windows

Havent a clue where to start all the fuses are good as you would expect as this only happens occasionally.

It does mean that if I have had the windows DOWN and this happens ...I cannot secure the car.

Hi i think you have a problem with one of two things, one being the ignition switch (electrical part) two being the X-contact relief relay.

Thank You....... I noticed today, that when I switched the ignition switch off the wipers came on momentarily. So I turned it back on again and found that the key is going 'too far' and that once started if I turn the key slightly anti-clockwise that everything works.......Yeee Haaaa

Except the electric windows.....but it looks like there is some problem with the ignition - if you need to turn it back slightly once started.

Many Thanks for your prompt reply....IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED as I am a mechanical biff

Hi, ref windows fault, i have had the same problem with my V6 coupe, (see my post for help today) solved by resolder of dry joint in relay 363 under drivers side dash, just remove kick panel and junk box and unplug relay then test for continuity with multi meter, have bought new one from seller raffon on ebay
as spare for £9.99 to prove fault and not be stuck on car park with car windows that won't shut

    Hope this helps
