    Hello, any help?
Got puddles in driver side footwells. Thought it was same problem i had with 99 passat, blocked weather bung drain under battery, not so on bora. No battery or drain in centre. Asked VW, 1 dealer said no drain holes at all and another said yes to the sides. Took wipers off and screen trim found a hole where wing joins chassis but didnt appear blocked, hosed area. Still wet. Have looked at pollen filter on N/S, seems dry. Am now thinking maybe windscreen leaking but a new screen is a last resort. Also looked at door trim seal and that is dry. Its a bit of a puzzle. Any advice gratefully recieved.
    Thanks

Do you have a sun roof? I had water everywhere in my car when we had torrential rain due to the blue water hoses being completely blocked... both of them!

In the plenum chamber (drip tray) under the windscreen wiper mechanism there is a plastic cover that is for bringing the wiring through from inside the car. These warp and allow water into the driver’s footwell and this also damages the Convenience unit as well.

no sunroof, i have hopefully cured it! after hosing down the side of wing drain hole and putting news paper daily under rear carpet it seems to be getting dry and no sign of puddles even when raining now, so fingers crossed otherwise i will have to look again, thanks for your advice all.

You could also check the pollen filter housing these are prone to leaking also, espcially if the car has had a new windscreen or wiper mechanism and been disturbed. Just make sure it is fitted correctly.
if it aint rubbin it aint dubbin
