    Default help grinding noise – 21-04-2008,10:15 PM
    Hi All

    i have a problem, my audi a4 1.9tdi is making a grinding/hissing noise it happens when i press the accelerator mostly in 3rd/4th gear. when i take my foot off the acellerator the noise stops? any ideas whats making it?

    Any excessive exhaust smoke?

    no excessive smoke.
    if i floor it their is a puff of black smoke which is norm?!?!

    Those two noises together say to me a turbo problem. Is the power delivery OK?
