I do not have a manual for my passat and there are two buttons but I haven't got a clue what they do..

If you are sitting in the drivers seat the two buttons are on the right hand side on same pillar as the drivers seat belt, but lower abpout waist height.

Can anyone help, buttons light up red and when pressed light up yellow.

    Thanks in advance...

I think it disables the internal sensors - if you were to leave a pet in the car while it's parked.....

As James says, but one deactivates internal alarm sensors should you want to lock wife/kids in car without setting the alarm off if they move about, and the other turns off the anti tow alarm should you need to lock the car whilst the RAC tow you to a dealer when your fuel pump stops!

All very useful and will probably be used just the once! Still, its the thought that counts.

Leaving the pets in the car is one thing, but leaving the wife/kids in the car is another because when you press that button, and then alarm the car.....they can't get out !
It seems the deadlocks are still operated, so although the internal sensors are disabled. I am sure the pets don't care to get out (well actually they might!) but should anything adverse go wrong and the humans need to get out, you might be in trouble.
Q - there a way to not use the deadlocks ?

Well I missed my chance when the fuel pump went, because I forgot about that feature!

The alarm was going off when it was on the back of the truck, but since I was in the truck cab with the driver I just used the key to disable it.l

Hopefully I won't get another chance to try it out!!

Two buttons? I have only one - I hope I really do have an alarm, as I have never heard it, and it doesn't bleep when I lock it.
