Passenger Door Electric Window Help

Hello friends, i have a torn in my side. Up untill yesterday my passenger window (MK3 GTi 2door) was working now it is stuck down switches for passenger door don't work but the drivers side is fine. there is no unsual noises to indicate faulty window motor/regulator the switches will just not work the passenger window. i do have a cobra alarm fitted. come to think of it the passenger side was working intermittently when driving, so i would switch engine off try the window switch & it worked. i should have guessed trouble ahead. so where do i start my diagnosis. would someone pls. put me out of my misery....thanks in advance

check the wiring in the door jam.

thanks spiderrm for your reply. what i did was to go ahead with regulator replacement since i couldn't find any broken wires nor faulty door switch. the gumble paid off, now electric window works...
