    Hi,

I've been looking around for any reviews on remapped 170 gt tdi's but can't find much.

Has anyone done this and have time to share their experiences on fuel consumption, performance and cost etc?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jj

Hi, I've been tentatively looking and found a company called jabba sport, they're franchised nationwide, they seem to be able to get the most out of the 170 lump.

However, I've heard that no one is capable of a consistent tune on this engine because of the differences between the 140 and 170 engines (I don't know what they are except the obvious 30bhp).

I know this is a clear as mud but everyone I've spoken to has a different answer from the last.

Jabba is a great place to go but it just depends where in the UK you live and how far you would travel.

another great place is awsome, if they can not help you i dont think anyone can because they are well, awsome!

you could buy a golf mag such as golf plus or pvw and look in the ads at the back.

    Hi,

    I have received some pm's from chip-n-spin.

They have quoted a gain of 40-45hp and 80-90nm torque.
They say they can perform the remap whenever I like, they seem confident and offer a money back guarantee too.

Very prompt assistance, I pm'd them from this forum.
I will definately be considering using them.

    Thanks for the replies,

    JJ

That's what I had heard, normally as soon as one company finds a way of doing it, the others follow pretty sharp-ish, so it seems strange why only a couple of companies can offer it.

What difference has this made to the way your car drives? How's the mpg compared to beforehand?
