    can anyone please help me on this. got an a4 cab when the alarm is going there is no siren or horn sound just a faint bleeping noise. spoke to my local audi dealer they said all a4 cabriolet,s are like this.i got the feeling i was being fobbed off. as its got a cat 1 alarm on the car id at least want to hear if my car getting broken into.just want to know if this is really how they are or if someone out there has one with a siren.its on a 56 plate thank you.....

    I have 2002 A4 cab...faint beeping, seems all Audi's are a bit to descreet
    A6 2.4 SE (2000)S3 1.8T (2001)80 Coupe 2.3 (1991)

    Try this..........
    Sorted the problem out now thanks, it was the alarm siren.
    Located the siren under the roof cover on the right hand side, behind the trim cover as in pictures, this position alters from that of the saloon slightley and is easier to gain access to via the roof cover.

    Went to my local VW Audi parts breaker and bought a replacment £20, although this was the same part number it was a different shape but had the same size wiring socket.
    Slight alteration in fixing in place but still an easy job (enlarge a 6.5mm hole to 8.5mm ).
    Sound on alarm arming and sound on alarm activation.
    Job done.
