Got a Silver Golf TDI and just about to buy the RS4 alloys with tyres off ebay, i need to know if they will fit my car as i don't wanna pay all that money for them not to fit.
    I'm buying the 18" ones.
    Anyone installed them?
    Are they ok?
Do they affect your speed in anyway or the speedometer?

I was also thinking about painting the brake calipers! Any suggestions on what colours would look good?

    Hi,
I have an anniversary golf and the tyres fitted are 225/40/r18 so you shouldnt have a problem with them on yours ! the only thing that might happen is that you may get tyre scrub when on full lock as the wheels are 8" wide where as mine are 7.5".

i would paint the calipers either yellow or red !

    Dave,
I bought 18s for my golf and have had problems because of them. This is because the standard Golf's are not quite set up for the 18s. I think my suspension bushes are gone, as are the engine mounts and the reduced "cushioning" has caused a lot of trim to become loose. I wouldn't recomend the 18s without changing the suspension and changing the bushes and mounts to polyurethene ones (powerflex etc). However, the 18s do really suit the golf!!!
