Water pump, or air in cooling system?

Coolant bottle and water resevoir? Do you mean the header tank?

So no one mentioned the water pump, no pumping = no circulation.

sorry , yes the water pump has been changed, and 4 times, all under warrenty from the first change, the air in the system sounds interesting though

do you guys think the over heating and no heater are related, its got climate control, the chill works , just not the heat

New water pump and no heater says air in the system but it should self bleed so air is being introduced and the PD is getting a reputation for heat gasket leakage. If you pull the head, remember that VAG instruct that the head must not be skimmed.
