    Hi, does anyone know if ther steering/ignition lock housings on the B5s are interchangeable between the model years? My dealer claims they can't get the housing for a 1995 A4 as it isn't made any more... cheers, bofh

    Nobody? Anyone breaking a B5 and has the part (lock housing or whole steering column). Either without the barrel or with barrel amd keys... cheers, bofh

    From the dealer its like £500 for a column. I assume you have a "normal" type key as that still has a part number for the column 4d0 419 505q

    I would pop onto ebay and search breaking, and ask a few people on there

    Yeah, seen a few in Germany for about €50-60, in a pinch I'll go for that - if they'll post to Ireland. The parts are like hen's teeth here... cheers, bofh
