Hi,

Just joined today, have viewed site with interest prior to this.

Have a Passat 03 TDI (Red I). Noise (rough) when idling and vibration can be seen when looking at the fan belt. Doesn't appear to be pulleys as noise persists with belt removed although not as bad.
The noise dissapears when revs increase.
Mileage 114k and timing belt changed at 75k.
Any advice out there?

no. hagis meant that there is a passat specific forum, snd if you post in there, you are likely to get an answer.

this forum is just to say hello

if you go to the main forums page, ans scroll down. you will see a volkswagen forum. click it and then you will drill down into the different models. click passat and you will drill further down into revisions for that model. (i think your 03 plate passat is a B5 variant, but dont quote me)
