Limp Mode ?????

Going mad, have had my a4 for 4 years not a days bother until the ECU central locking went got it sorted just today and on the way home for work my car went into limp mode my father is a mechinic so he put the diagnostic machine and its poping up (pointy meter) fly by wire which is the acceleter is it a common fault?
Has anyone came across the same problem, if so how did you resolve it ?

Mines been in limp mode, not for your reason tho, mine was crankshaft sensor. replaced the sensor and it was fine.

aint heard of your one before. got an error code?

what year is your audi mine is 2002 and same thing happens in the rain...covered ecu with blanket helped but when its heavy rain still goes into limp mode.
