    Hello all,

    I have decided to introduce myself in this forum mainly to share some technical information about our VWs, specially Passat, which is the VAG that I own.

    I have done a lot of mods to my car, and I am currently needing some info from UK models; to be more precise, about the alarm. First of all, the list of mods are:

    * FIS tacho
    * Valeo parktronic
    * Automatic rear mirror
    * Rain sensor
    * Bi-xenon + auto-levelers + washers
    * Rear power windows
    * Fog lights
    * Automatic lights
    * Hands-free (parrot) with buttons integrated in the dash-panel
    * Parking door remote integrated in the dash-panel
    * Tempomat (Cruise control)
    * Multifunctional steering wheel
    * Auto lift/lower power windows with remote
    * Alarm + interior monitoring (without replacing the Comfort module)
    * Seat belt warning (with FIS indication and dong)
    * ...

    All of these mods I have pictures and details about the how-to in my usual vag portal (http://www.vagclub.com/forum/portal.php). I can send you links if you are interested in any of the mods.

    Some pictures:

    Integrated remote:

    Integrated parrot buttons:

    Automatic-lights: self-made module (schematics are documented in www.vagclub.com):

    and more.... I don't want to put it all in my first post .

    As I said before, I need something from you, and it is basically to confirm that in UK the stock alarm is the electronic siren, instead of the ugly horn that we have in the rest of the world. I hope that someone from this forum can help-me to find the coding differences so that I can enable my electronic siren (which I have already installed and connected).

    Thanks a lot! Hope to have lot of fun sharing knowledge and mods with you guys!

    I drive UK Golf Mk 4. Its alarm is a siren, not the horn.

    Hi there! Those mods look really impressive! Afraid I can't be much more help than confirming that the stock alarm in my 2000 B5 is indeed an electronic job and not the horn.

    Welcome to the board!
