Hello to everyone, looks busy on here, perhaps someone may have the answer to a problem I have with my Bora 150 TDI Sport...........

Yesterday I discovered just prior to going out the car had a totally flat battery (my mistake) the radio key couldn't open the doors, I put it on a 12/50 amp charge for about 30 mins but it still wouldnt start, so we got the Lupo and used Jumper cables to get it going...first time starting.
The problem we noticed later was that the radio key now only unlocks the drivers door, the double click will not open all door's, it will however lock all doors. The dealer would like to see the car (and me with my wallet of course) but im reluctant to grace him with my presence as i belive the solution could be a simple one. Prior to yesterday's incident there have been no problems with the system.

    Hello
for this you will need 2 keys
    1. take the valet key ,put it into ignition and turn to on position
    2 roll down side window
3 exit the car and close door
4 2nd key and lock the door-phisicaly-not with remote
5take the first remote and press the unlock button and the lights will flash once, wait 10 sec and press the unlock button once
    the doors should unlock
    lock the door again (key)
press the button twice, wait 10 sec and press unlock
for a thrd one press 3 times
4th -4 timesafter you finished with all the keys take the key out of the ignition before you test them all !!!!!
    That's it

Thank you for that but im affraid it did not work. I have 2 main keys and the emergency plastic key, when you go to unlock the doors for the first time with the remote, having previously locked the door with the key the lights do not flash. The dealer said the doors need to be unplugged in order to be reset......something only the dealer is supposed to be able to do because a special tool is needed to remove the plugs, and guess what........you cant buy it.

This happened to me but it was my fault i left something on charge in the car. I tried unsuccessfully the key thing previously sudjested.

I am not a trained person, however I fixed the above by the reverse of how i caused the problem.

1 Unlock the drivers door start car switch it off (stops it from self locking) leave car unlocked.

2 Dissconect battery by taking negative lead off and leave it of a minute make sure it doesnt connect again.

3 Lock the drivers door manually by key as there is no power.

    4 Reconnect the battery

5 My Keys all work fine now.

Well that certainly worked, look's to me like i owe you several drinks.
I think car dealers would earn a lot more respect from customers if they gave out free simple advice where they could instead of attaching a price tag to every little thing.
    Many thanks.
