    Hello everyone Im new to this so here goes I have fitted a tow bar kit to my jetta no problem is there any tips for wiring the electrics is there a plug in socket from the main wiring loom or do we need to splice in as before maybe there is a relay or additional device I need Im really not sure any help appreciated

    I had a wiring kit supplied with the towbar when i got it...

    That just plugged in "in-line" to the rear light clusters on both sides.

    Possibly the same is available for your car?

    Hiya bob just wondering if you have heard of alarm fault on new jetta. My sister has just bought one & it keeps going off, took it back to agents but they can,t find a problem ? many thanks

    That sounds like just the job can you remember any details of who the supplier was The Tow bar I fitted was a "Witter" and fitted perfectly although the instructions failed to mention removal altogether of existing steel bumber located under the skirt to facilitate access to the insides of the chassis box apart fro that the "Cut" is near invisible I am very pleased !!

    I bought mine from Ebay, (towequipe, now known as towbarman01?) just had a quick look and is doesn't look like they have one for the Jetta yet.... still too new.

    There IS a towbar available for the Jetta

    click on catalog and fill in the blanks, it seems VW also do a oem lower skirt like i have on my golf.

    Towbars direct will also supply this bar and 7 pin electrics

    The OP already has the towbar (fitted himself), he is requesting where he can purchase the Plug-in wiring harness for the electrics.

    The link and contact details for towbars direct are in the towbar thread that is sticked at the top of the Golf section. Post number 26

    The standard uk 7 pin electrics and multiplex bypass relay should be about £30
