Where's the best buy cable/software?

Hi I am looking at purchasing VAG com but want to know the best place to get the kit from. I will be using it on a Golf GtTdi 2004 140bhp mk5, I hear to stay clear of the cheap Japanese ones that are on Ebay but there are also some U.K data cables with software for around £20 mark, has anyone tried these and what software gives you the full Vag com not part?

i think with the mk5 you may need to use version 709 ? which would require a cable from ross tech themselves have a look through other posts to find a website dealer of them.

difference between the cheap cables and the ones required for version 7 is the rosstech cable gives you the full version as the cable itself contains the authorisation code
