Im new to the forum HELLO.

I ordered a Red S-Line tdi 140 at start of Feb (no build date yet) dealer says it should be June when it arrives.

I originally wanted the 170 tdi but dealer said this may not be released in the B8? I would like to tell them to cancel the 140 tdi order and hold out for the 170 tdi. But what about my deposit???

    Any advise please

    Hi,

I was told I could receive my deposit back upto 14 days before the car was due to be delivered to me (this was the case last year anyway). I did cancel my order and I did receive my deposit back.

I also did this with BMW after ordering a new 335i convertible, they announced some problems with a valve which was recalled, I heard about this and cancelled the order, got my deposit back from them too.

I think you have a valid point to cancel, tell them you drove the 140 an was dissapointed and would rather wait for the 170.

Personally I would remap the 140, remaps produce better power delivery than any standard diesel I have ever owned. I have owned 330cd (2006), short term hire on 335d and Passat.

Remapped passat was by far most amusing, everyone thought they could beat it and to be honest pottering around at 30-40 then nailing it overtook almost everything I tried.

    Good luck.
