  1. Notchy 1st to 2nd gear change

Hi I have a Sharan with the 6 speed box, it's notchy from 1st to 2nd not even from 3rd to 2nd, it's worse when cold but is there all the time.
It's hard to describe it's like the gear lever tries to go into 2nd but gets a little stiffer then goes in with a small clonking noise.
It doesn't grind like when the syncro is gone but it doesn't feel right, driven dozens of cars and never felt one quite like this.
Been in the VW dealer who said they adjusted the linkages and everythings working as normal.

The thing is every other gear change is repeatable and always feels the same but 1st to 2nd has many different feels to it from stiff and notchy when really cold to clonky when getting hotter.

Is a gear oil change likely to sort this out?

Is it normal as thw VW dealer said?

    Any thoughts very welcome.
