I had the clutch replaced on my 1999 A6 2.4 replaced recently (approx. 7000 miles ago) - drove it yesterday, and it has stated slipping again. That is if you accelerate gently, you are fine, but if you accelerate hard, then the engine will race, and then catch up.

The question is, should I pass this back to the garage to fix it for no charge, or is there something that can be adjusted to correct this?

    Many thanks,

First stop has to be the garage. This could be a pressure plate failure or a leaking rear oil seal and the clutch is well oiled. The later I doubt they will free, unless they changed it 7000 miles ago and it has failed, but they may ahve to change the clutch at there expense. You do not mention how long ago they did this. Regards Peter
