Having just bought my car (see sig), I'd like to upgrade my rear light clusters to the new facelift units (assuming they're still the same fitment)..... where's best to start looking at decent prices, ie. not ******* dealers!
    Thanks

    Thanks

The Cabrio still uses the "old" custers from 2002 - Onwards.

The new clusters are totally different on the A4 now, (B7) -

just been googling, and over at audi-sport.net, member andyccr has listed in his sig that he has 2007 rear light clusters on his 2003 a4 cab. cant find any picture evidence of this though

this is an upgrade i may consider when i get my cab.

Andy has posted pics of the new back boxes / exhaust tips - these show the B7 lights on his B6.

I have spoken to Andy and he is very helpful and very knowledgeable. He is also an auto electrician...........I

am looking at doing the same conversion. The shape is identical, but there are two reversing light bulbs on the new shape and only one on the old. Subsequently, you need to put a resistor in and a very low powered bulb.

what about using led bulbs for the reversing bulbs as they use a lot less power to run them.

that would be another solution. i think you would still need to match the overall impedance of the old lamps, otherwise i suspect you would get warning signs on the dash.
