    hi, i have broken my lever to release the bonnet on my vw polo 02 plate im wondering if there is any tricks to open the bonnet i would be very greatfull thanks..

    If you mean the one at the front, not the one inside, then they are absolute hell to get open. It happens a lot on Golf 4's, Passat’s and 9N Polo's and we have to carefully prise the catch open from outside through the gap, taking care not to damage the panel. This happens because slack mechanics do not lubricate the mechanism during a service and as the bonnet can stay shut for two years, the lock seizes up.
