Hi! 2002 TDI130 PD, had all the usual problems described on many threads here,no acceleration, max 80mph dropping thru gears, limp mode,& had been told many times it was the turbo..£1300VW,£470 recon, but thanks to the forum i was able to look at other options,..changed MAF, small vacuum pipe going into EGR valve & large intercooler hose on n/s of engine, also MAP sensor, but no result..finally changed boost control sensor(on o/s/f bottom of cambelt cover, beneath breather pipe),took few hours cos i kept dropping bolts into undertray! but soon as i started it up could tell.. it was growling, took it for run & pickup & pull in every gear.the part cost £36 from VW,ive maybe spent £200 while trying to eliminate things,so you people have saved me a lot of money! many thanks to everyone

    Good news.

That is why some people call them ********, cos this time that is what they would have done.

Hi, 65cabby, no wasnt getting much smoke at all, just usual bit when you floor it, only times ive had lot of smoke is when ive had a hose split, bottom hose can be a bugger to get to,to check top hose has to come off,and springclips are bit hard to get at
