I have a strange problem. If you lock the doors with the fob, no issues all doors lock 1st time everytime. If you double press the fob, all doors unlock no problems! Now I have a button on the door to lock/unlock the doors, and when you press unlock they all unlock, when you press lock, they all lock but the n/s/r door then unlocks itself. I can repeat this as many times as you like, and no change.
What do you think may be causing this problem? I maybe can live with it, but it might drive me mad as I hate things not working as they should. Where should I check for the fault to start with? The carpet has just been renewed, all wires on the floorpan are ok, the CCM unit was dry inside and everything else seems to work okay for now.

What happens if you use the key in the passenger and drivers doors to lock. The action using the key may give a clue.

A good question, and the answer is it works faultlessly, I do not have a lock cylinder on the n/s though, so my comment refers to o/s only.

    P.S. forgot to mention, its a B5.5 52plate '03 estate poverty spec!

Still have the ongoing problem. I just noticed recently when I unlocked the car and went into the n/s/r door after 30 seconds or so, the car locked itself. Now as I dont have access to VAGCOM, I'm assuming the microswitch in the door lock is not working. Does anyone know how much a new one is? And is it a pita to do? I really must get round to buying Vagcom, but I have family issues at the moment, and a house is more important than the car!

The micro switch is built into the lock. So....you either have to buy a new lock or if you are up to it you can try to strip and repair your one. It might be worth unwrapping the ccm wires under the passenger carpet. Damaged wires here can cause all sorts of central locking and alarm gremlins.

I've had a look at the site, it does look straightforward, but I think its a job for warmer weather! Its not a major problem, but annoying all the same.
