Audi A6 Comfort Module Repair Petition

I (along with many others) have an A6 with the dreaded drowned comfort control module problem.

In another thread I have outlined what I want to do to repair this problem effectively and permanently. The problem I have come up against is that Audi do not seem to recognise this as a regular problem or a design defect.

As a consequence, they do not seem to supply a repair harness to replace the damaged connector blocks and wiring under the front passenger footwell carpet. This is the only part not readily available necessary to repair the damage properly in most circumstances. Without it the majority of repairs will not last.

I have some sympathy with Audi on this one, in a car of this complexity there are inevitably going to be some issues that escape the development process and only become apparent after the car has been in production for a few years.

My sympathy is tempered when they adopt a denial tactic. This problem is not going to go away by pretending it does not exist! Moreover, as these cars get older there are going to be more of them that need repair.

In an attempt to demonstrate the number of Audi owners effected by this problem and the strength of feeling, I am trying to get a petition together to send to them.

Please could you send your name, e-mail address, model of A6 and VIN to me at audi_a6_ccm_problem@audemex.co.uk. This address includes underscores so it's best to use the link or cut and paste it.

This information will not be released to anyone other than Audi apart from the quantity of replies received. It will definitely not be sold to anyone for the purposes of spamming!

I hope you can help with this!
