Anyone know where I can get a second hand grill for my 97 passat?

Hi all,

Seems my ownership has started well, last night I was over taking a lorry on the mway when his mudflap flew off and hit the front of my car, it then flew in the air hit the windscreen and went over the top of the car.

I was annoyed but figured I couldn't do anything about it.

When I got home I found out that it had cracked my front plate and thrown my grill with vw badge over the top of the car too

So, is anyone breaking a car or knows of one thats being split/in a scrappy?

I need the front grill with badge

Did you manage to get a replacement grille? Bring up a google page and search 'vw parts gateway' they're intouch with loads of vw breakers all over the country, i've used them a few times, with no joy (as I'm after a panel in a specific colour) but grilles will be everywhere. If not, there are always passats being broken on ebay. I bought a replacement grille for my '97 passat (the one fitted to the V6 highline with chrome pieces on it) but the badge is too deep so won't fit. Just a word of advice, be careful prising the grille away as the rubber pieces in which the grille goes into can get stretched and then the next grille will be a sloppy fit. Good luck!
