In one year they used three different pedal sensors.

    028 907 475 B up to chassis wauzzz8DzW (A or I) 028 000

    028 907 475 S from wauzzz8DzW (A or I) 028 001 to wauzzz8DzW (A or I) 080 000

    028 907 475 AJ from wauzzz8DzW (A or I) 080 000 onwards

And that is for manual boxes models, there are two more for auto.

    The sensors are not interchangeable.

They are located on the pedal box under the dash

The Passat 3B for 98 used the same part numbers.

You need sender part number 028 907 475 C which costs £336.05 inc. VAT. It was only used on TDI Auto’s around 95 to 97 but was used on the A6 TDI and Golf, Saharan and Passat TDI auto

sorry for l8 reply just got car back yesterday anyway the ride was more smoother (still need to check it uphill) on the motorway seemed okay but could not really test it as m6 j5 to j9 is terrible in traffic terms but a new fault code has appeared 00550 something to do with Start of injection regulation can someone tell me why this has come up now and not before and does it concern the boost problem thanks
