    Hi all,

Nearly done fitting a full set of suspension arms on my Passat.

Only one thing is the lower front arm, where it connects to the drop link to the anti-roll bar, has a small part over the part of the arm where it connects to drop link.

This is the part in question:

No matter which way I fit this, it doesn't allow the drop link to be fitted correctly! The old arms didn't have this part, so could I just bin it? or is it there for a reason

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks

    Cheers

That clip is located over the bolt and id does not let the bolt spin when tightening...also, it is for the old style drop link(prone to fail), the one with ball joints ! I suggest you upgrade to newer style with the bolt treading trough the bush. I would not fit that clip anyway, when the alloy rusts/corodes, you wont be able to fit a spanner to hold the balljoint anyway and it will spin frely, just bin it !
