    Hello All

I've just had my Bora serviced. Part of this service included a new Mas Air Flow meter because the performance had significantly dropped.

On return from the garage I noticed that WHEN COLD, the engine would "miss" at around 2000 - 3000 revs. This goes away when the engine warms up to normal operating temperature. It now pulls very well when warm - as you would expect it to.

I took it back to the garage - as you do - and the one fault appears - "turbo overboost" .

The owner of the garage put some redex-type-stuff in the tank and seemed to cure it for a day but its back and after trawling through this excellent forum I cannot find exactly my problem.

There is no problem with performance when warm - no limp mode - no miss fire - even if the engine has missed when cold. It generally only misses once but that could be to do with the fact that once its done it I generally leave the throttle alone and go along steady until the engine gets to temp.

    Thanks for any help

I also have that problem with my 2001 V5 model, when it's cold it drives like crap and often 'misses' at about 2500rpm in second, but only for a very brief millisecond or so.

Once it warms up it drives like a dream, but as it gets colder here in QLD (and it's my first Winter driving), i'm not looking forward to driving it to work when it's 15 degrees!
