I bought a 3M headlight restoration kit off Ebay for £19 and got to work with my power drill.
here are the before and after pics of the headlights, they look like new now.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product, the only scary thing is sanding the headlight down to start off but the end result is worth the panic moment !

The marks on the bumper is just wet plastic dust, it wipes off with a damp rag.
The 3M kit was part number 39008.
my mechanic said the headlights would probably fail the next MOT with the lights as they were so I am a happy chap.
I have bought a HID lamp kit for my allroad but not sure if I need it now !

That appears to be a KIT from the USA. Do you have an ebay link for the product. Regards Peter

Hi Peter, the Ebay number 280976850957 should get you to an active item. The seller is based in Bedford but you are right, it's a USA product.
There are other kits out there - Meguairs, I think Carplan do something similar and people say you can get a decent result with T-cut and a drill mounted polishing pad but I've not tried these options and for 19 quid why gamble ?

I have used the Turtle Wax kit plus a spare drill mounted polishing pad and had excellent results. The Re-Gel kits are also very good.

Does anyone know how these compare to the Surf City product that a certain VWAudiforum is authorised reseller for?

The Surf City one says 'no sanding', which sounds good but how does it work?
