Three things, kill the typeface choice, I had to sit on the other side of the room to read that.

Second, get a fault code read done.

By carb I presume you mean the throttle body?

Possibly but a fault code read will help although that may not show up a faulty AMM, diagnosing one as faulty takes a little more analysis of live data.

what you can do is just disconnect the AMM and if the problem goes away you know if its that.

Do not disconnect the AMM until you have had a fault code read done or you will store a fault code that may not have already been there. Disconnecting the AMM does not always prove it is working or not, often the only way is to fit a new genuine exchange AMM to see if it makes a difference.

The second lambda only measures what is happening for emissions control reporting. The first lambda sensor is a common failure on the 2.0 8v but running the car with it disconnected will possibly damage the catalyst and second lambda sensor, costing you hundreds of pounds more.
