So, have you decieded on what you are repacing it with? I'm thinking of taking some cars out for test drives. I'm not with intension to get rid of the A4 yet. Yesterday I managed a genuine 60mpg journey, mixed with rural and motorway. Pretty pleased with that.

Yes, i'll be getting a Smart Roadster Coupe for myself to run about in, plus i'll also be selling the other 1/2's Mk3 Astra and using all the remaining money to buy her a Mondeo diesel as the sensible family run about! For the money & spec I think they're one of the best used car buys on the market!!

Beautiful car, Beautiful car.... same colour as my diesel version quattro. I would love to change it for a 3.0L V6, Gordon Brown sadly has other ideas....

I will have to live with keeping the revs below 4.5 until I come up with a severe money making scheme to counter his anti car madness!!

Mondeo diesels are good I had one as a hire car for a trip in work. Not bad at all. Perfect family car.

Wait till the fuel pump/injectors packs up...then it will hurt ! They're very good when they work but the residuals dont cut it for me ! I preffer to have a german car that does not loose that much value as its gets older...compared with fords !

Good but very very boring. I cant imagine going back to a Ford or Vauxhall after owning a piece of quality German engineering. One of our reps got a new Mondeo last month (the old shape) and whilst he was "happy" with it, he wasnt exactly excited about it. Poor sod is stuck with it for the next 4-5 years
