    Default VW Transporter 1993 Injection pump timing belt problem. – 28-11-2006,08:27 PM
    Hi to everyone as i am new here.The problem i have is i have a VW Transporter 2.4diesel 1993 AAB code, and the problem i am having is replacing the pump timing belt. I need to tension the belt and i have been told to move the pump to do this ,but i am of the impression if i move the pump i will be moving the pump timing.If anyone can throw any light on this problem i would appreciate it. Thanks very much.

    Hi,

    I have a 2.5 T4 5 cylinders with a head gasket and cracked so need to be replace. My worry is the timing belt. I bought the book but still my mechanic is not sure that he needs all the require tools.
    Does he?
    No marks were taken when pull off and the top pulley also.
