    Hi,

I accidentally drove off from stationary with the handbrake on, doh! The alarm came up on the DIS and I instantly released it. It was a few metres travel. However, I find that the brake pedal is a bit stiffer. There are no alarms on the DIS. Is this a co-incidence? How are the brake pedal/brakes/handbrake linked?

    Hi Tony

I can't see that having a direct affect on the brake pedal. My mate did that on mine with no difference felt. It is an odd coincidence. The handbrake works via a cable and is independant of the braking system. Strange, maybe a hardcore technical guru might know. I wouldn't worry about major problems though

    Hi Marco,

I think you're right. Maybe its in the mind. No major probs. Going in for a service soon so I'm sure they'll check the brakes/servo/abs anyway.

    Cheers.
