Has anyone any experience with double in stereos and passats?

There's loads around, most have a 7 inch touch screen, bluetooth, Freeview TV, dvd player and some boast having satnav built in, prices seem to range from 150 quid for a "china" job on ebay to 1500 for some big named ones.

Does anyone know if they'll fit in the dash (enough room behind the unit etc.) and know if they're as good as they sound?

would be great to get everything all in one box with a nice big screen on , as long as it doesn't look too out of place, doesn't have to be loud as i'm over 30 and did enough damage to my hearing with music in my teans!!

I have a pioneer 7" indash. 6 disc, bluetooth, touch screen, back up camera, dvd, the whole works. AND it sounds great.

Looks spot on! dare ask what that gauge is for on the pillar?

Nice to know that not all the cars in america are mustangs (even though i'd happily move there to own a shelby gt500 as long as someone else paid the fuel bills!), are passats popular over there?

my mate just got one from ebay, only cost £100 with shipping, it's an eonon, with a fair spec , it's gone in his wifes rav4 and sticks out of the dash quiet a bit, not sure how it would fit in a passat.

only worry is that mines got the steerig wheel volume controlls and the display above the fuel computer, do any non VW stereos have compatibiltiy for these?

That gauge on the A pillar is my boost gauge. And no Passats are not big in the states. But you can get an adapter for your radio to be able to still use your steering wheel controls
