Or rather it does, but only if IT was used to lock it!

If I lock the door normally, with the fob, and then try to unlock it using the spare key (the small space saver key) it doesn't unlock! If I turn it anti-clockwise I can hear it 'locking' (the already locked) car, but turning it clockwise it does nothing. It certainly doesn't open the car.

If I unlock the car with the fob, the spare key will start the engine no problems. If I lock the car with the spare key, I can then unlock it with the spare key. But if the car is locked with the fob, I can't unlock it with the spare key. Which makes it a pretty useless spare key!!

Any suggestions as to what the hell I could possibly be doing wrong?! Surely I should be able to unlock the car with the spare key?

    Cheers
