My numberplate lights have filled with water!

All the inners have rusted away to nothing.

The seals work great at keeping in the water!

Is this common,or is this a know fault?

The housings are obviously letting in the water from above how can this be fixed?

There out and on my desk!

My question again, is this a common thing with the housings failing and leaking water?

Its a brand new car and the numberplate light units have failied!

The seal is great round the lenses! keeps all the water in!

    Hi there,

I had exactly the same thing with my Golf a couple of weeks ago.

I took it straight back to VW and kicked up stink, they replaced the lights units and the wiring for me.
I thought I might just have been unlucky but it looks like it's a bit more common than I thought
