Me again, I was sold the car as a 1998 Sharan TDII SE sport, the second I in red means it's a 115 hp plant.

Can anyone confirm if this so and whether I have the 110 or the 115 model.

    Thanks in advance

It is a 110PS VEP TDI AFN or AVG engine. The Sharan didn't get the ANU 115PS PD TDI until 3/99.

Now you've opened the box!, differences between the various 110 PS models?

Oh well, it's a 110PS, and does the red I signify anything?

    Thanks for speedy response

1st prize to zorgman, sticker inside the jack caddy. 81kw, (110PS) and it's the AFN engine.

Top marks sir, but your starter for 10, is whats the diff between my AFN and the others?

Thanks for all comments peeps - much appreciated.

VEP, TDI (?) and AVG, is it just extra's? or are they specifications for say North and South etc? Just curious and I'm not looking for 'well the AFN uses M3 x 27mm bolts rather than M4 x 25mm in the VEP engine - kind of detail LOL just a general like fitted pre 97 etc

Just trying to get to know my Sharan, only manual I can find is for the ford galaxy. I know/knew the XUD engine from citroen as I have owned quite a few and all its variant's, but not familiar yet with the VW diesel.

    Thanks in advance
