Sharan Radio

Hi i have a p reg 96 cl Sharan, i can only pick up the local stations and that takes time to pick up, it doesn't have an aerial as such on the outside of the vehicle, does anyone know how i can receive other stations apart from the local area that i'm in at the time.

Perhaps the antenna plug behind the stereo has come loose.

You may want to slide out the stereo and check that the antennae plug is properly slotted in.

look at the very rear window u should see 2 lines coming down etched on screen like heater wires thats the radio ant. check that the 2 plugs are pushed on solid.
another check is to pull off the connector and on the flexi wire in ur hand press finger agains one or the other see if radio works, iff not then its pull radio out time.

the sharan also uses a amplifier, inline with the aerial lead, make sure there is power going to this, as this will reduce power to the radio from the aerial if there is no power,the amp is behind the radio
