before: the remote key fob opens driver door with single press and all doors with a double press

then the following done at garage: engine needing jump start assistance to crank the engine to clear what was probably air in the fuel line: battery was not fully discharged so either low volts or voltage spikes or high volts could have upset the system (CCM?)

after: now single press opens driver door but now double press does not open the other doors

Could this problem be made to go away with a reset:
remove earth off batt, press brake a few times - reconnect after 5mins
= factory reset, or remove earth lead for 30mins (also = factory reset?)

also could remove 'locking system' fuse for 5 minutes to just reset the CCM which will reset the module to factory settings.

there are also 'central locking' fuse and 'immobiliser' fuses.

I have an almost identical problem with my 01 golf, had it jump started the other day after a very flat battery, since then i'm unable to use the remote to unlock the passenger doors/boot. I can unlock these doors using the key in the drivers door, or by using the interior locking button. Very strange i thought, have you had any luck solving this issue?

I have the exact same issue with my passat highline estate (53 plate) after it went through the MOT. The clock required setting so the basttery was off at some point. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Good News, last night i disconnected my battery for about 30 mins. when reconnected all central locking was working normally. Obviously just needed resetting! Must have been messed up by the jump start. Give it a try, with a bit of luck you'll have a nice easy (and free) fix.
