Has anyone ever changed any of the dash clock lights on a 1994 80e saloon, also all the heater control bulbs do not seem to work either, i've only just got the car and these niggles were present, all the fuses are ok, is this just likely to be a bulb issue? The only bulb out on the instrument fascia is the clock, the others seem fine.
    Any ideas?

The dash bulb is likely to be just the bulb, as the others are working. To remove the dash you have to remove the upper half of the steering column shroud (3 screws on the underside.) You can then see the dash screws at the bottom, take these out and the dash should be able to be removed. Removing the steering wheel makes life easier but should not be necessary.
The heater bulbs again could just be the bulbs, I had a car where all 3 were bad? To get to these, the heater control knobs need to be removed, grip the knob with pliers (line the plier jaws with card to prevent damage) A sharp yank rearwards should release the knob, repeat on the other 2. The screws which hold on the control panel fascia trim can be seen (where the knobs were) remove these and the bulbs can be accessed.

Result, all three heater bulbs were shot, at a cost of £1.50 for all three, now working brightly!!!

Not got around to the dash bulb yet, ran out of time!!!
