    60k or 4 years, whichever comes first. If you have just bought the car and you have any doubt then I would get it changed. It's a good investment for the future.

    Make sure that whoever does it has the crank locking pin, cam sprocket puller, cam pulley setting bar and sprocket counter hold tool. I have done two in the last week (finished one today) that had been very badly done previously and one had two wrecked cam pulleys after they had been hit with a hammer to release them. Also make sure the water pump and thermostat are changed, one of these two I was re-doing after the previous people didn't change the water pump.

    Totally agree with Crasher. I bought a locking kit for all the various shafts etc on e-bay for £30. Best £30 I've spent in a long time. If you buy the water pump from Audi they will give you money back for your old one too.

    Thanks all,Will get serviced and changed.How much should i expect for belt pump and pulleys?Would my audi dealer be best or local yocal.

    Well ive found the service book and its all stamped!
    The belt was done at 87000miles and is next due in 80000 miles so ok for a few miles yet.
    Pulleys and anc done also so will wear those out before i get ripped off!!im so used to working on my own vehicles this one is a bit of a pepparami!
