Anyone have the Dynaudio on their Passat?

Would you say that there is a noticeable difference in the quality between the standard audio fitted on the Passat Sport and that of the Dynaudio?

    Thanks

I really value my sound quality, so it was never a question as to whether or not I would get the Dynaudio, but now that I have my car, so far it is well worth it. Clear, rich, with an excellent soundstage and no distortion, it is the antithesis of the boomy and artificial systems that pass for 'premium' audio in most cars this price.

    David.

P.S. I remember being underwhelmed by the standard 8-speaker setup in the sport when I had a test-drive. Good luck with finding a Dynaudio to test drive, though...

Absolutely... I ummed and ahhed over a year ago as to whether to get a Passat or not... then when finally deciding to take the plunge, noticed that VW had removed the Dynaudio option from the S and SE Models... so I ended up getting a SEL (When I only really wanted the SE) Purely because of the Dynaudio option.

If you're an audiophile, then it's definitely worth it. Just be careful with the treble... turn it down a few notches as it WILL hurt your ears.

If you're near hertforshire, I can certainly arrange a Demo.

    Thanks Both for your replies.

Certainly seems that the Dynaudio is a worthy upgrade.

Certainly - I've had more time with the system today, and some CDs can sound very 'bright' without the treble down, and I also guess that this is why it can sometimes seem difficult to hear at speed without turing up the volume quite a bit. At a standstill, it's great though, and I'm sure will get better with some tinkering at speed.

    David.

I've got Dynaudio, I am very pleased with it, I had the logic 7 setup in a E90 before it and I think the Dynaudio is more balanced as mention the treble can be a bit bright but it's easily adjustable, I bought my Passat used but for me it was a must have feature

Its a lot of money I know but I am so pleased that I opted for it. The standard set up is good but this is definately better. The standard system is good but this is that much better to make it worthwhile opting for it. Talk stations are also easier to listen to because they are so clear.

I also opted for the Sat Nav and premium bluetooth and the package just makes the car stand out from the pack..

    Thanks WiiJeff,

What do you think of the SatNav on the Passat?

Im used to the TomTom which I think is very good. Just hoping the Passat Satnav is just as good or better.

do they still do the monsoon pack - that might be a good option for anyone not wishing to fork out for the dynaudio but still wanting an upgrade from standard.

I have to say i'm very pleased with my monsoon. Good clear distortion free sound, strong bass.
