Audi main dealer: fault diagnosis cost

I am due to go into my local Audi dealer tomorrow to pick up a climate control unit I ordered which I am going to fit myself as their fitting price was ridiculous (over £300). As some of you may have seen in a previous thread, I took my A4 in during the week as the aircon was far too hot and pumping out warm air. They ran the laptop diagnostic and said it found no problem. Cost at that point: £49.95. Not happy but there you go. However I have a feeling tomorrow they will try to charge me more for the subsequent tests they ran (which by the way showed nothing other than I now need a whole new main unit).

Am I within my rights to argue any extra cost as surely the £49.95 should cover diagnosing the problem and it is not my problem that their diagnostic software didn't pick up the fault first time around?

If they have not called you to advise that it will cost more than the £49.95 you are in your right to not pay on the basis you did not say run any tests you need etc..

They should of informed you of any addtional costs.
