    Default Cam Belt Change – 29-02-2008,03:41 PM
    I just acquired used Audi A4 1.9tdi manufactured Sept 2004 and has done 56,000 miles. The mannual says to change cam belt at 80,000 mile service. However friends recommended me to change now. Any advcie please?

    60K or 4 years.

    i always change the cam belt as soon as i buy a car. you never can be sure when the last change was

    I think it is OK to go with the belt on there if it has been correctly done with the paperwork to prove it.

    I had my belt and tensioner replaced last month.

    It had done 34k since it was last done, but was over 41/2 years old!!

    Its every 4 years or 60k whatever comes first.
