I've just bought a 2002 GT TDI and I'd like to give it a good polish and wax. I started looking around the internet for the best polish & wax and have found that there are endless amounts available!!!

I've even read that different products are better for different shades of paint!

My car is black. Anyone out there with a black golf and had some success with polishes & wax?

Didn't realise how complicated this could be! Should have just gone to ********* and got some auto glym!

There is a cleaning thread on these forums - Perhaps you might find something there ?

v6dub - Do you recommend autosmart for any colour or is it particularly good with the Black? I have a black VW and have always used AutoGlym products.

ive tried loads of products over the years on cars and bikes and the best stuff ive found by a long way is this www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MCYCLE&pcode=MTXYPU200

ive used it on all colours and one of the best things about it is that it doesnt leave any of that white residue in the joints. the best place to find it is your local bike shop.
