yeah, done it a few times, good service!

please note, dont do it for a car you have just bought, (and havent yet had confirmation of log book keeper change) like i did with my G/f's car. then wondered why a week later we hadnt received the disc.

    doh.

luckily after going to previous keeper's address, they told us they had dropped the disc into the garage they had pxed the car at (which wasnt where we bought the car).

    you live and learn...

NO MORE QUEUES is it the thought of Qs or the thought of having to walk from the car to the post office door that scares you

As a recent city dweller, please dont forget your local post office if you live in a rural area......many rural post offices need licensing business and other to survive;......local's need post offices...... "use them or lose them forever"

I always have a walk up the village and do mine, I'd rather keep my post office than have to drive to the nearest town whenever I want to post a parcel in the future!
You may think I'm being helpful yet sarcastic, this is only because I feel I need to help you to help yourself in the future

if i could get to a post office during the allotted times, then i probably would. unfortunately, im generally working while they are open (and quiet). when im not at work, the only ones near me that do car tax are generally a PITA to park near, and the queue is approaching the door.

online is a major headache relief for me

I think it's great not having to use the post office. I appreciate that they're a lifeline in rural areas and if I lived in such an area I'd make the effort to use one. However, I hate using the urban ones - queueing for ages, they smell and are always full of dawdling old people.
