High water temp.

Hello!
I have a Passat 1.9 tdi 1997 mod.
Lately the watertemp. suddenly rises to the top af the instument(120 -130 degrees celsius) when I am driving.
I have used VAG-COM to check for fault codes, but nothing`s there.
I have replaced the water temp sensor ( G62) but no difference
When I use Vag-Com to read the temp. it shows about 90.
I haven`t lost any water, and no boiling problem, so I think it must be any kind of instrument / wiring problem.
The other day the oil warning lamp started to flash together with the summer that indicates high temp.
Could it be something in the instrument?
Hope someone can help me to solv my problem.

I have the same problem with my 99 A6 1.8T. Will you please tell me how you got round to solving this? I would really appreciate it.

Sorry pressure tests have been done on mine and came out positive, no leaks. I am clearly baffled.

Mine did the same the other day took to my local garage and he changed the temp sender problem fixed.
