    Hi
    My Bora 19 TDI 100 PS car has a developed a fault. The ESP light comes on and the engine loose power and runs very sluggish. erratic Any help will be grately appreciated

    Try turning off traction control (the ESP/ASR button opposite the heated screen button) if it makes the problem go away (although the light will stay on constantly) I'd guess the sensor makes it think it is loosing traction and it therefore drops engine power....

    turn it off by the switch.

    switch it off as soon as you start the engine

    or does it come on then ?

    Have you had vagcom on it and check the ABS sensors ?

    hay mate i had the same problem on my 150 tdi bora! i rang my machanic as soon as it happened he said it could be the sensor but asked did i have a flat tyre? on checkin i had a nail in the tyre and the sensor had picked it up! but i had no power loss maybe an idea to check your tyres anyway just to be sure!!
