    Hi Guys,

I have an Audi TT (2002). I just used VAG Tacho 2.2 to reset the mileage. Everything seemed to have been entered correctly but once i disconnected the battery and connected it again the milegae now reads 999999. Even after driving it the mileage stays at 999999.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

    Thanks

assuming you got the legitimate version, you would have had to change the mileage display to KM via vagcom before correcting.

VT works using Kilometres as the unit of distance, UK default is of course, miles.

you need to alter this using vagcom, so that the mileage is KM instead of M.

once done, correct the mileage with VT, close.

then go back into Vagcom and put the display back to M from KM.

    Thanks for your response.
I will try this later tonight.

How do I change the display to read KM instead of Miles using VagCom?

    Hi,

I have the same problem with my audi tt. I was trying to correct the mileage with a vag tacho cable 2.2, but after that the display is showing 999999999 and the unit is changed to km. Could you write me the process to change to miles again my car using the vag com cable?

thank you so much for your help,

    henry

Grats, that's what you get from messing with your mileage. If you bought the legitimate version of VAG-Tacho then you should contact the developer/seller for help. If you bought the illegal copy, well you already got what you paid for. LOL

Vagtacho will only change the bytes that respresent the mileage, it does not correct the checksum.

Your cluster has detected a bad checksum and hence displays 99999999.....
