How has anyone survived that? That's unbelievable. She must be the luckiest woman alive (no pun intended). I think I might just fit that hands-free kit this weekend...

Didn't catch what car it was but it was a little jeepy thing on the back of a wagon the other day, it was perfectly normal at the front and the back was almost perfectly flat right behind the rear seats
You may think I'm being helpful yet sarcastic, this is only because I feel I need to help you to help yourself in the future

Put it this way, i would not want to be in a Ford ka, once down a 1.2 and the brakes felt like lumps of wood..

I'm not too sure if I will transfer my car kit to the SEL (when it arrives)....IF only because you still run the risk of prosecution, if in an accident...whilst using the phone (hands free or not).
Many Company vehicle fleets now insist that mobiles be switched off whilst driving...with a few suggesting that the mobile must be kept in the boot (switched off) whilst driving.
Unfortunately, until the penalties are increased to that of drink driving, we will see drivers leaning on their right hand whislt driving (such a giveaway) AND accidents like the one above!
